Payment & Refund Policy

Teleporto Technologies LTD (“Teleporto”, “we”, “us” or “our”) operates the birlay platform, available at birlay.com and through our web application. This Payment & Refund Policy explains how online payments and refunds are handled for services purchased through our website and web application.

1. Online payments

Our partners (recruitment agencies), institutions and students can make online payments for the various services offered by Teleporto Technologies LTD through birlay.com and its web application.

Payments are processed securely by our third-party payment provider. We do not store complete card details on our own servers.

2. Failed or delayed payments

Teleporto Technologies LTD assumes no responsibility and shall incur no liability if it is unable to process a payment instruction on the payment date owing to one or more of the following circumstances:

1. The payment instruction you submit is incomplete, inaccurate, invalid or delayed.
2. The payment account has insufficient funds or limits to cover the amount stated in the payment instruction.
3. The funds in the payment account are subject to any encumbrance or charge.
4. Your bank or our payment provider refuses or delays honouring the payment instruction.
5. The payment is not processed by the biller upon receipt.
6. Any circumstances beyond the reasonable control of Teleporto Technologies LTD, including but not limited to fire, flood, natural disaster, bank strikes, power failure, or the failure of systems or communications (such as computer or telephone-line breakdown) caused by an unforeseeable event or external interference.

If a payment is not completed for any reason, you will be notified on the payment page itself.

3. Refunds

You may be eligible for a refund in the following cases:

• Duplicate or erroneous charge. If you were charged more than once for the same service, or charged in error, the duplicate or incorrect amount will be refunded in full.
• Service not delivered by us. If a service you paid for cannot be provided for reasons attributable to Teleporto, you will be refunded for the undelivered portion of that service.
• Event registrations. Fees for events organised by Teleporto (such as EdSummit, webinars and industry events) are refundable if you request cancellation at least 14 days before the event date. Cancellations made later than this are non-refundable. If Teleporto cancels an event, registration fees are refunded in full.

Approved refunds are issued to the same account or card used for the original transaction, after deduction of any non-recoverable transaction or processing charges. Refunds are credited within 10 working days of approval; the time for the funds to appear in your account thereafter depends on your bank or card issuer.

4. Non-refundable items

Except where a refund is required by applicable law, the following are non-refundable:

• Subscription and membership fees once the billing period has begun.
• Services that have already been fully delivered.
• Commissions and processing fees charged on completed transactions.

5. Consumers in the EU and the UK

If you are an individual purchasing as a consumer in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you have a statutory right to withdraw from the purchase of a digital service within 14 days. This right does not apply once the service has been fully performed, where you have expressly requested that performance begin during the withdrawal period and acknowledged that you would lose the right to withdraw once the service is complete. Nothing in this policy limits any rights you have under applicable consumer law that cannot be waived.
